The Bo Children’s Hospital in Bo, Sierra Leone, was the dream of Dr. Nuli Lemoh, a Sydney based pediatrician born in Bo, Sierra Leone.
Dr. Lemoh dreamt of a children’s hospital for his hometown, where child mortality rates are distressingly high. Since its inception in 2012, the hospital has treated over 31,000 children for conditions such as malaria, malnutrition, and diarrhea—diseases that are preventable yet lethal without proper care.

More than just a medical facility, the hospital is a critical part of the community. It is a result of combined local and international efforts to improve children’s health. Equipped with 25 beds, outpatient clinics, imaging and lab services, and educational initiatives on disease prevention, the hospital is staffed by dedicated local professionals.
The foundation supporting the hospital, based in Sydney, is run entirely by volunteers who receive no pay. This commitment underscores the foundation's dedication to channeling all possible resources directly to care and services.
