Bo Children's Hospital Foundation (ACN 154 536 241)
The Bo Children's Hospital Foundation was established to continue the vital work of improving the health of children and mothers in Bo and the surrounding provinces of Sierra Leone. With stakeholders in Australia, Sierra Leone, and internationally, the foundation plays a crucial role in supporting the hospital's growth and impact.
The foundation is managed by an Executive Committee, which meets monthly in Sydney, Australia, along with invited Committee Members.
Objectives

Provide funding for hospital operations, including salaries, the purchase of medical equipment, furnishings, and building development.

Enhance health education in the local and surrounding communities.

Support the recruitment, training, and mentorship of skilled medical staff.

Source funding from local, national, and international donors, including governments, NGOs, and other key stakeholders.
Structure
The Bo Children's Hospital Foundation Limited is a public company limited by guarantee, with annual audited accounts ensuring financial transparency. It is licensed by the NSW Communities Office of Liquor, Gaming, and Racing to conduct fundraising appeals, with all funds strictly allocated to the foundation’s objectives.
As a not-for-profit organization, directors receive no remuneration. Membership is open to both individuals and organizations with no annual membership fee. Directors serve three-year terms, with provisions for board-appointed directors to have their positions confirmed at the subsequent Annual General Meeting.
